The terms that apply when you book Innovated Cuisine for an event.
Last updated: 11 September 2026
These terms apply to all catering and private chef services provided by Innovated Cuisine (“we”, “us”). Please read them before confirming your event.
Quotations are given individually, based on your menu, guest numbers, location and the level of service required. A quotation is valid for thirty days from the date it is issued, and is not a booking until a deposit has been received.
A deposit of 30% of the total quoted price is required to confirm your booking. Your date is not held or reserved until the deposit has cleared. Dates are booked on a first-come basis, and we are not able to hold a date on a verbal or provisional agreement.
By confirming your booking and paying your deposit, you agree to our Booking Terms.
The remaining balance is due no later than seven days before the date of your event, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. For bookings made within seven days of the event, the full amount is payable at the time of booking.
Final guest numbers must be confirmed no later than fourteen days before your event. This figure is the number you will be charged for. Numbers may be increased after this point subject to our agreement, but cannot be reduced.
Menus should be finalised at least twenty-one days before your event. Allergies and dietary requirements must be confirmed in writing at least fourteen days beforehand. Please read our Allergen Information, which forms part of these terms.
Menus are seasonal. Where a supplier cannot deliver a particular ingredient, we may substitute a comparable alternative and will let you know where this affects allergens.
Cancellations must be made in writing. The deposit is non-refundable, as it secures your date and covers planning already undertaken. Where a cancellation is made within seven days of the event, the full balance remains payable, as ingredients will have been ordered and staff booked.
If you need to move your event to another date, we will do our best to transfer your deposit to the new date subject to availability.
In the unlikely event that we have to cancel — through illness, injury or circumstances beyond our control — we will give you as much notice as possible, help you find an alternative chef where we can, and refund all monies paid, including the deposit. Our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us.
You are responsible for providing reasonable access to the kitchen or cooking area, together with running water, electricity and sufficient working space. We will discuss what is needed before the event and will visit the site beforehand where appropriate.
Where the facilities on the day differ materially from what was described, we will do our best to deliver the agreed menu, but cannot be held responsible for changes made necessary by the conditions on site.
Prices include travel within Berkshire and the immediately surrounding areas. Events further afield may carry a travel charge, which will be set out in your quotation before you book.
We treat your kitchen and equipment with care and will leave the space clean. We are not liable for pre-existing damage, or for wear to domestic equipment used in the normal course of cooking.
You are responsible for the conduct of your guests. We are not liable for loss or damage caused by guests, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
For food safety reasons, we do not leave prepared food that has been kept out of temperature control. Any food you wish to keep is stored and consumed at your own risk once we have left.
We may photograph the food we have prepared for our own portfolio and social media. We will not photograph your guests, and we will not identify you, your address or your venue without your permission. Tell us if you would prefer no photographs at all and we will respect that.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
